ICYMI, we sent out an email to all Models this week about an important update that may impact some of your older videos. The content of that email is detailed below. Please read on to learn more!  

As we enter a new year, we wanted to share how we are working to make Pornhub better and safer, and to touch on some upcoming milestones impacting your older content. In the past year, we have been regularly updating the way we validate performer IDs and consent on our platform to further strengthen our Trust & Safety protocols. We are working on a plan to review older content to ensure that it meets our current verification requirements and want to take this opportunity to share the next update, so you have plenty of time to prepare.

What’s Next?

Older videos that do not meet our current verification requirements will be removed from the platform by June 30, 2025. To facilitate this process, in addition to the existing options for adding and verifying co-performers, we are also working on enhancements to our Collaborators feature that will allow you to tag verified Models in previously uploaded content.

How to Prepare:

Solo Performers

If you only upload solo content of yourself, no action is necessary.  

Couple Accounts

If you only upload content with your partner, we still require IDs and consent from the person who is not the primary account holder. We strongly suggest that both parties keep copies of this paperwork to protect yourself and your work in the event of a dispute.

Models Working with Multiple Performers

• From your Video Manager, see which videos are at risk for removal by using the filters and selecting “Missing IDs”.

• From your Core Settings, review the list ID and Consent status for all Co-Performers and take appropriate action (resubmit ID or add consent) OR add a new Co-Performer.
• Alternatively, you can wait for us to launch the enhanced Collaborators tool so you can tag approved Collaborators in older videos – coming soon!

What to Expect:

• We will continue with our standard practice to periodically review and remove content that is not in line with our current verification requirements.  
• We will support you with timely appeals – if you believe that content was removed in error or if you add performer IDs or proof of consent after a video gets removed, email models@pornhub.com and we will work with you to validate our records and reinstate videos that are compliant with our Terms of Service. Our priority is to keep your compliant content active and if eligible, monetized.
• After June 30, 2025, only videos that meet our current performer ID and proof of consent verification requirements will remain published on Pornhub.
• We will provide regular communication updates including timelines and status updates on how to retroactively tag Collaborators in older videos.

Supporting Our Creator Community with Important Updates

Last year brought a lot of updates to the content upload process, and we truly appreciate your support and collaboration. Pornhub couldn’t do this without you—our amazing community of creators. You’ve been key in helping protect your work and keeping our community safe, while also contributing to a safer internet.  

Quick Reminder: Since September 2024, all new videos must include performer verification and proof of consent to be published. You can achieve this by:

• Uploading Co-Performer IDs and a Release Form; or
• Sending an eSignature link to your Co-Performer; or
• Using Collaborators, our tagging system available to all verified Models. After collab requests are accepted, you can tag verified Models in your videos during the upload process.

How Do I Stay Informed?

We will send emails and post updates on the Blog. If you are not receiving our emails, please try the following:

• Check your spam/junk folder for emails from Pornhub.
• Check if your account is linked to an email address you use regularly;
  • Open your Model Dashboard, click on your Core Settings, and select the “Security” header.
  • If you need to change it, click “Contact Support” under the email.

• Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) works best when used on two different devices. For example, when logging in on your laptop, use your phone as a secondary device to approve 2FA (using Microsoft or Google Authenticator).  
• If you are experiencing technical issues with 2FA, please check out our Help Center article. If you followed all those steps and are still having difficulty accessing your account, reach out to us through the Support Form.

TL;DR:

By June 30, 2025, all videos will need to meet our current verification requirements to remain active and if eligible, monetized on the platform. To prepare for this change, please add verification documents such as IDs and proof of consent for all co-performers or use our Collaborators feature when working with other verified Models.
