Sofia Rose is a member of The Cupcake Girls, an organization we partnered with last month that provides confidential support to those involved in the sex industry, as well as trauma-informed outreach, advocacy, holistic resources, referral services and more. She has been involved in the adult industry since the early 2000s and brings a unique and compassionate perspective in her approach. Keep reading to learn more about Sofia Rose!
For those who don’t know the illustrious Sofia Rose, tell us when & how you got started in the adult industry.
I was approached by a photographer in a chat room in the early 2000s. We met to review his portfolio and did 5 looks in a test shoot. I submitted them to magazines and in 48 hours, Sofia Rose was born and actively shooting erotica!
Pornhub recently announced our partnership with The Cupcake Girls, tell us how it came to fruition for you to be on their board?
Charlotte Stokley, Chairwoman and Amy Merril, Executive Director, had made it a priority to have more active sex workers and workers with lived experience on the board. Charlotte was aware of my reputation for philanthropy throughout my time in adult entertainment with other organizations. She called me to ask if it was something I would have any interest in as it comes with a significant time commitment, responsibilities, and is a volunteer position. Of course, I leaped at the opportunity, as it was something I’ve wanted for so long! It was only a matter of timing and finding the right organization.
What do you love most about working with The Cupcake Girls? How does their mission and goals align with your own?
So much of what I live by in and out of sex work aligns with The Cupcake Girls mission and goals. Most notable compassion without judgment, love without agenda, and opportunities to mentor/coach and advocate for some of the most delicate members of the adult industry.
What advice do you have for Models starting out on Pornhub and how would you recommend leveraging Pornhub’s traffic to maximize their brand growth?
Be consistent with your content. Content is king, consistency is queen. I’ve been saying this for over a decade, and it works. PH traffic and growth is valuable and the number of tools we have to leverage our growth through the brand is great. It is much more than the tube site it once was.

The Cupcake Girls is a big focus and finding ways to continue to collaborate with sponsors to give more visibility to the organization. I’ve ventured into cosplay this October with my content. It was for the festivities of the month, but I have enjoyed creating it so much. More is coming on a consistent basis.
Who is Sofia Rose outside of work? What’s something that keeps you grounded?
Meditation, Pilates, and I’ve just started to roller skate again. I love binge watching true crime shows and love live sports. Gaming started off as work, but I do it just to get a mental break at times. Of course, getting regular massages and spas days are my favorite. I’m currently reading, The Body Keeps The Score. Self-care and mental health days are a priority to me!
