The second Model in our Transgender Awareness Week Model Spotlight series is Noah Way! This bright and talented creator tells us why he thinks Transgender Awareness Week is important on a larger cultural scale, challenges and misconceptions facing Trans people, his ambitions for the future, and more. Keep reading to hear about his unique experiences.
Hey Noah! Before we begin, please tell us what pronouns you go by.
He/him.
Tell us how this all started. What got you into the adult industry?
I started out posting pictures on Reddit – both for extra money and because I didn’t see anyone in porn I felt looked like me. When the pandemic happened, I started to focus more seriously on it and created social media accounts on different platforms. I can’t remember a specific moment of decision. It was mostly something I expected to fail at and then didn’t.
We’re happy it worked out for you! What does Trans Awareness Week mean to you and why is it important on a larger cultural scale?
Transgender people have unfortunately become a big culture war issue as of late. While it could be argued we have an overexposure issue now, I see it as the wrong kind of exposure. The information people are exposed to is not from Transgender people. It’s not from someone that loves, or most of the time even knows, a Transgender person. It’s from political actors that have realized we seem strange enough to people that hate against us can be leveraged to radicalize them, and who see those of us effected as collateral damage.
I’ve been out as Transgender for about a decade, much of that on a medium-to-large-sized platform, and I’ve heard a lot of opinions about it. The most hateful ones are always also the most confident and factually incorrect about psychology, what they assume my life is like, and how hormones and surgery work. Someone recently tried to insist to me that testosterone gives you an opiate high and all Transgender men are in cahoots to cover it up. Someone who hasn’t been exposed to Trans people is likely to feel somewhat confused or uncomfortable about the idea at first, and a combination of political propaganda and discomfort with self-reflection or criticism often leads to them constructing a false narrative around us that justifies and amplifies any bigoted thoughts.
Do you consider yourself a Trans activist?
I don’t consider myself an activist but have had many people change their minds about Trans people after meeting me. Not because I’m just that great, but because a real Transgender person didn’t match the caricature in their head. It’s important to listen to Transgender people about Transgender people, and to believe us when we talk about our experiences instead of assuming we’re part of some grand conspiracy.
During our Trans Day of Visibility Insights earlier this year, we discovered female users are 189% more likely to search “transgender man” than male users. What do you think this says about changing perceptions around sexuality?
That’s so interesting! I’ve always felt most of my fans were men, but that could be because I mostly work with men. If I had to guess I’d say it’s a combination of there being more straight/bi women than gay/bi men, and that most Trans male performers produce our own content. I’ve heard a lot of straight women say that traditional male-female studio porn doesn’t work for them as it’s geared towards straight men. People are also just more aware Trans men exist now than they were a decade or two ago.
What advice would you give to new Trans Masc Models you wish you had when you started?
You have to make your own path. Don’t rely on companies. Earlier in my career I assumed that if I achieved a certain level of independent success, studios would realize I was profitable and start hiring me. I’ve worked for a few, which I’m grateful for and they were good experiences, but by and large this did not materialize. Don’t accept less money than your cisgender peers at the same level of popularity. Don’t accept producers or other Models making derogatory comments about your body. You can say no.
What Trans Masc Models should everyone have on their radar and why?
Maxx Woodxxx, really hot, and great if you want to see post-bottom surgery Trans men in porn. And Cam Damage, who makes beautiful, cinematic content, and also a lot of kink videos.
We noticed that you've been traveling the world and meeting new creators! Tell us, where has been your favorite new place to visit?
I loved Paris and Madrid! I also visited Brazil in May, Rio and Sao Paolo specifically, and fell in love with it to the point where I’m now learning Portuguese.
You post a lot of insightful videos on your socials, where you talk about having a sex-positive attitude and challenge misconceptions around sexuality. How do you plan these?
I usually don’t plan them out ahead of time! I’ll plan out what I want to say for maybe a few minutes and then go for it.
What do you hope to achieve in the next 1-3 years?
I’ve recently decided that I eventually want to be a defense attorney! So, I’m going back to school. Likely in Fall 2026, as I need a good amount of time to prep and take the SAT and ACT, I’ve forgotten all the math I ever learned. The first step for me is going back to college, but since law schools don’t require a pre-law degree I plan on majoring in history, which I’ve loved for as long as I can remember but has limited career paths. I plan on continuing porn throughout college and will likely move away from it during law school. If I end up having the time, I also hope to create a graphic novel about my experiences in the industry.
