Tell us about your start in the industry.
My modeling career started with nude photos. Before that, I was drawing for many years, with mostly mythical girls as the main characters. Those inspired me a lot, so I tried to embody them in photography. Then, I got interested in cosplay, which coincided with my desire to produce adult content. With the immense support of my boyfriend, we started making videos together. Now we've been working on the Alice Bong project for three years.
What did you find difficult in the beginning? Was there anything you found surprisingly easy?
To be honest, I don't remember any difficulties at all – nothing seems difficult when you're inspired and passionate about a cause. It has always been a pleasure to come out with new ideas and implement them in our videos. Before embarking on my journey, I thought that meeting a porn actor in real life would be really unlikely, but it turned out that finding new friends and soulmates in this industry is fairly easy. My two best friends also make adult content, and I met these incredible people through our mutual profession.
What does the Pornhub brand mean to you?
It is an opportunity to express myself and find like-minded people. Like any creator, I would like someone to see and appreciate my work, and that’s the most valuable opportunity that Pornhub has given me. Many of my loyal fans found me at PH, and their support is my main motivation to continue.
How did you get into cosplay?
I got into cosplay through a friend of mine. I’ve always watched a lot of anime and loved creating characters, so I tried to do some of the most popular ones just like her. I felt a lot of inspiration, and just couldn’t stop. Being able to transform into any fictional character is what I find utterly amazing. I still do a lot of composite characters, and maybe I’ll get back to cosplaying them exclusively in the future.
What has been your favorite costume and what’s on your cosplay bucketlist?
I definitely have a bunch of favorite characters. I really like my take on Zero Two, I’ve cosplayed her a couple of times and I’m pretty sure I’ll do it again. I also love my cosplay of Amane Misa from Death Note, that passionate and crazy girl really reminds me of myself as a teenager. My future cosplays will probably include Anya from Spy x Family, some characters from Mortal Kombat (all the girls from that game are very hot) and Gadget Hackwrench (I always found her really pretty since I was a child).
Tell us more about how you source your outfits.
I order all my costumes and items from AliExpress. Only 2 of my costumes were custom, for the most part, I made them with materials I ordered online. Sometimes fans buy costume elements for me if they want a custom video with their favorite character. To be honest, I’m not always keen on doing them, I usually cosplay characters I personally like, enjoying the freedom of choice without trying to find favour in the eyes of my viewers.
Tell us something about yourself your fans would be surprised to learn.
I think my fans might be surprised that I wanted to be a math and physics teacher. I even have a degree! Also, probably the fact that in real life I've only had one boyfriend.
When you’re not working, what could we find you doing?
Since I was a kid, I always loved watching TV series and anime. When I want to relax, I sometimes read popular science books and sometimes fiction. My boyfriend is a musician, and we often have jams at home, so I’m exposed to a lot of music. On my own time, I mostly listen to alternative rock, jazz, folk and classical music – it depends on my mood. I even engage in music-making together with my boyfriend sometimes. He says that I’m a good singer, but I am too shy to show my singing online.
Would you say you're shy or outgoing in your personal life? Who was Alice before becoming the Alice Bong?
Alice used to be really shy back then. In my school days, I had only one friend and I always felt like an outcast. However, the older I got, the more I tried to open up to people and the outside world in general. I’ve certainly became more confident since the beginning of my porn career. My self-esteem is much higher now, which made it much easier to make new friends and communicate in general. Over the past few years, I've met a lot of wonderful people that I really appreciate. Nowadays, being in the company of strangers doesn’t feel as uncomfortable as before, and self-improvement of that kind is a great pleasure for me. So yes, Alice Bong is definitely a sociable person.
What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about the adult industry you wish you could change?
I’ve often encountered people that perceive actresses from the porn industry as immoral and easy-to-get girls. Men often offer paid meetings, convinced that people in the industry are materialistic and money-obsessed. They think that it is only a matter of money, so a polite refusal leaves them confused.
I can only hope that those people don't seek medical help from Dr. House.
In your opinion, what makes a good performer? What makes a good scene?
Taste, aesthetics, sense of harmony, the ability to focus on the necessary tasks, and, of course, experience. It is also important to love whatever you do, which is an essential pre-requisite for being productive. Other important aspects of a good scene include passion, sincerity, good storyboarding and scripting. Practice makes perfect.
What advice would you give a new Model just starting out in the industry?
Assert your boundaries. You never want to rush and try to do everything and be everywhere all at once. It’s really important to take care of yourself physically and mentally, and avoid pressure. When feeling burnt out, let yourself relax. Sleep is your main friend and source of creativity.
What’s your next goal career wise?
I think it’s necessary to begin with my previous career goal; I wanted to be able to create what I love in total freedom. With the support of my beloved fans, I was able to keep growing and evolving creatively. Every creation of mine, even the smallest one, motivates me to keep working harder to be better. I've now gotten deeper into the process of video production, and the wonderful people around me constantly help me to learn new things. Through this I found my team and many good friends. I could only dream about that before! I am grateful to each and every person I met along the way, and I want to continue finding and implementing new ideas.
What’s next for Alice Bong? Any new projects for fans to look forward to?
I love working in teams and sharing experiences, and I've already collaborated with a number of models, but I really want to develop in the field of directing. In the future, I would like to expand my small family business into full production. It would also be great to try my hand at videoblogging and live streaming.
