April 26 is Lesbian Visibility Day. To celebrate, we linked up with StacySinner, the lesbian couple behind the emerging Model account. They opened up about the importance of authenticity and prioritizing their passion over their performance, their thoughts on the popularity of lesbian content, using proper meta data, getting married and more!
We love a good romance story! Tell us how StacySinner became a couple and what led you to start creating content together.
Our romance story is one of modern-day serendipitous love. In other words, we matched on Tinder! Our first date was like a marathon of connection and excitement and lasted 37 hours. Yes, we are your stereotypical “U-Haul” lesbians! We began creating content together at the start of 2021, after discussing a shared desire for real lesbian porn. Our goal was to channel the chemistry we shared into something that could also connect with others. And the endeavor turned us into a powerhouse of creativity and love!
We heard you were recently married, congratulations! How does it feel to be blissfully wed? Will this impact the content you create?
Thank you! In all honesty, the pretty paper just made it legal. Everything really changed for us after Sinner got down on one knee and Stacy said “yes!” Committing to each other in such a way brought new depth to our personal lives and, subsequently, our professional lives. There was just something about being engaged! Our content underwent a complete transformation as a result. It kind of gives viewers a front row seat to the complexities of intimacy and partnership. And that is beautiful.
April 26th is Lesbian Visibility Day. What does this day mean to you?
We are not experts, but we think it is a step in the right direction. It is a day to acknowledge the diversity within the lesbian community, push back against stereotypes, and advocate for genuine representation. People need the chance to learn about our community (in a non-scissor-banging kind of way), and days like this are an amazing opportunity to do exactly that.
One of the goals of Lesbian Visibility Day is to increase visibility, representation, and support for the lesbian community. With the popularity of lesbian content, do you feel the lesbian community is better represented and supported in the adult industry than in other industries?
We actually do! This very blog post is a testament to that. The adult industry gives independent lesbian creators a platform to share real lesbian sex from real women loving women.
In 2023, “Lesbian” was the 3rd most searched for term on Pornhub and the 1st most viewed category for women, and 7th for men. How do you utilize meta data on Pornhub to ensure viewers are finding your content?
We want our content to be accessible to those who are genuinely interested, so we make sure to use the proper keywords, descriptions, categories and tags. We consider ourselves lucky to be making content that aligns with today’s viewer preferences, as chasing the numbers would compromise our authenticity. That is not something we are willing to give up.
As a lesbian, how do you feel about the popularity of the lesbian niche in the adult industry?
We think it is great! The popularity of the lesbian niche is the very thing that gives independent lesbian creators a chance to show people what real lesbian sex looks like. That amateur, homemade, organic content type stuff. After all, porn is education (even if it does not want to be).
One of our core values is Authenticity. Tell us how you balance making genuine WLW (women loving women) content that stays true to your dynamic as a couple while still making content that performs well online.
There is a delicate balance between staying authentic to one’s experience and creatively engaging with what viewers find compelling. It has been a learning experience for us, and you can see it in our content over the years! Once we prioritized our passion over our performance, the authenticity shined in ways we never imagined. Staying true to this means setting boundaries, only making videos that align with our real wants and desires, and always putting our relationship first!
What are 3 tips you would give to other lesbian couples who are just starting to create content together?
1) Stay true to yourselves: do not lose yourself or your relationship to making content. Focus on what makes your relationship unique and build your content around those genuine moments and dynamics.
2) Keep moments for yourselves: personally, we do not do anything for the first time on camera. We love for our “firsts” to be sacred moments between just the two of us.
3) Prioritize consent and comfort. Always ensure that you are both comfortable with the content you are making and sharing. Your comfort and safety matter, above all else.
As a couple, what do you do in your free time to relax and enjoy each other’s company?
As of right now, we have not had much free time with the wedding and moving into our new place! But we cannot wait to get back to exploring trails with our 2 pups and watching educational documentaries and A24 films (on discount days because Stacy loves a good deal)!
What is next for StacySinner? What goals would you like to achieve personally and professionally in the next 1-3 years?
Personally, we will continue to strengthen our relationship and find a near-perfect work life balance. Which leads us to our biggest professional goal, of saying goodbye to our “day jobs” and (fingers crossed) no longer being faceless creators!
