We thought it would be difficult for amateurs without a professional contract or connections to make a decent income, but it became more than just a hobby. As our fanbase grew, we quickly realized that we had the support we needed to be successful on Pornhub because there are so many viewers seeking authentic amateur content. We understood that it is possible to grow without industry ties.
How did it affect your relationship?
Doing this has helped our relationship in more ways than one. It’s made it stronger and facilitated our lifestyle. Doing well on Pornhub has made it possible for us to live together and spend as much time as we want together; we’re inseparable. We have a lot of time to focus on school and think about the future, and that’s very refreshing. It’s crazy when you realize you’re so busy, you stop dreaming about the future because you’re so stuck in the present. Taking a leap into this industry changed that for us. In a strange way, we’re essentially lovers who are also lucky enough to be coworkers who are passionate about their work.

You seem to have a great relationship with your fans, how do you stay connected with them?
We usually interact with fans through Pornhub or social media and try to open as many DMs as we can because we really appreciate the support. We’ve also had the chance to help some fans with their relationships or issues which is quite humbling and something we didn’t expect to happen.
How has your equipment evolved from when you first started to now?
We started filming with a laptop with a broken screen that had a built-in cam and using our phones to film videos. We then saved up enough to buy a Sony a6300 - we find it is perfect for our needs. We try to film during the day or outside because natural light seems to give us the best results. For new models, if you’re not ready to invest yet, use your phone. They’re more than enough to film quality content and you would be surprised at how many fans don’t mind or even prefer phone-recorded content because it feels more authentic.

If you could go back in time and offer yourselves advice, what would it be?
We’d probably tell ourselves to stay organized and have a plan in place for the future. Between Modelhub, fan clubs, and free videos, there are a lot of options on Pornhub that you could use to your full potential and we wish we would have put a little more thought into it at the beginning. Also, even if you want to start with live-streaming, don’t just focus on that. Put content up on Pornhub and Modelhub because the consistency of ad revenue is worth it. Streaming is great, but if something comes up or the Internet goes out, you have no safety net.

How did you get started in the industry?
It was the beginning of the relationship and we were so infatuated with each other that we often joked that we wanted to show each other off. We’ve always been very sexual and open-minded. So out of curiosity, we checked out some streaming sites with little knowledge of the industry. We didn’t think about it too seriously since we were both in college living with roommates. Then, one night, the stars aligned and an empty dorm gave us the opportunity to live-stream. The response was amazing. We had thousands of viewers, and from the comments we were getting, they seemed to really feel the passion we had for one another. Knowing that they really enjoyed what we were sharing was hot and made us stay on it for hours. Plus, the great tips were just icing on the cake. When the days of smuggling Dean into my dorm every night ended and summer began, we decided to live together and stream rather than be separated for work which made our involvement in the industry much more serious as we were relying on it more and more.
