How did you get your start in smut peddling? What drew you to this industry?
I started camming about 8 years ago. I was looking for a creative outlet that I just couldn’t find until one day when I stumbled upon a cam site and I couldn’t help but notice the fun environment. I gave it some thought and decided to sign up. Over the years I have branched out across assorted platforms. The ride this life has taken me on since has been something I never could have imagined, and I am so grateful to have found such a fun way to experience the world. Letting myself be exactly who I want to be and giving people something they really enjoy makes me a very happy girl!
What did you find difficult at the beginning? Did you find anything surprisingly easy?
When I first began, I found it difficult to motivate myself to keep making content. I didn’t realize just how much potential there was in the beginning for success. I had no real plan when I started so it was difficult for me to see what the future looked like. I also had reservations about dabbling into fetishes/kinks that were new to me (Which I quickly got over and LOVED it) The one thing I did find that was surprisingly easy was being live on cam. I thought I would be shy being live in front of strangers, but after the first week or so I realized how much confidence it really gave me and how enjoyable it was.
Tell us about your style. What’s your favorite content to produce?
I love making solo content that the watcher can implement into their own fantasies, something they can really use to flex their erotic imagination with. On the opposite end of the spectrum, I also love doing “Party trick” content because if you can fit 20 sharpies in your bum (I can!) I think that’s impressive and something that a lot of people including myself enjoy for several reasons! Have you ever done studio work? Would you want to in the future?
I never branched out into studio work because I enjoy making whatever kind of content I feel like making on any given day. I feel that it’s more organic that way and real. That is what I love about amateur work, I have the flexibility and freedom to create anything I want!
Is KittyD a persona you play or are you one in the same?
Long ago I tried to separate my everyday self and my online presence, but over the years I have morphed into a whole new person that is a nice mixture of the two. I am straight forward go-getter with a low tolerance for nonsense. I love nothing more than a good time and I’m not afraid to speak my mind. I know exactly who I am as a person and I have “Kitty” to thank for that.
You host bi-weekly sex work workshops on the PH Discord – Who would benefit from listening in on these sessions? What are some of the topics you cover? Can listeners reach out with questions?
These workshops are for anyone who’s interested in starting in the industry, new to it, seasoned veterans or anyone who wants to learn to live vicariously through themself! I talk about a lot of different topics that range from marketing, utilizing the tools you already have, fetish/kink break downs, self-esteem and so many more! One of my favorite ones I’ve done in the past was “Anal! Everything you need to know when starting out and how to up your game for more experienced players”. People are encouraged to ask questions along the way and I have open floor for other sex work related questions at the end.
What’s a common mistake you see new amateur models make?
I feel that a lot of new models get swept up in the swagger very easily. It’s very easy to forget that you still must put the work in to maintain momentum. At first it’s very new and exciting, everyone wants to talk to you and one can be very easily blinded by the proverbial light. When the “newness” wears off and you get into the swing of things it’s important to remember that not every day is going to be a $1000 day, but keeping the fun alive will benefit you very much in the long run
Do you have advice for new Models who have just joined or are thinking of joining the industry?
Do what you enjoy, do it for you! This industry allows you to really get to know yourself and some amazing people along the way. Take it at your own pace and remember that you have the freedom to create something you are proud of!
Do you have any rituals before shooting content? How do you get ready to be in the mood and feel sexy?
When I know it’s content day, I make sure to have a little “me” time. I light some candles, put cool lighting on and play music that gets me in the mood. I do my hair and makeup and put some sexy heels on and play “Strip Club” in my cam room and the inspiration for content flows.
When you’re not being TheRealKittyD, what can your fans find you up to?
Obsessing over my cats! It’s their world and I am simply here to make their every dream come true. I am also a sucker for binge watching Game of Thrones, Harry Potter and The Witcher. Occasionally you can also find me at my “vanilla” office job pretending I don’t have a butt plug in and blending into the corporate world.
What is a misconception about the industry you wish to change?
I think the misconception that bothers me the most is that it’s easy. The amount of planning, organization, discipline, and effort that goes into doing what we do is often overlooked. At the end of the day with amateur porn, you are your own boss. That means you have to make sure you do what you need to do to make it happen. There is no instruction, no deadlines no restrictions on the amount of work you need to do. Knowing that you need to make it happen for yourself by yourself is very difficult at first but extremely rewarding in the end.
With the holidays coming up, do you have any holiday rituals?
I do a LOT of baking! I have been baking since I was 5 years old and it’s my favorite part of the holiday season. I also love snuggling up and watching Christmas movies. Anyone who thinks “Die Hard” is not a Christmas movie can fight me!
