The IWF has been at the center of online safety for over 26 years. Since their inception in 1996, the IWF have been using “tech-for-good,” leveraging cutting-edge technologies designed to identify and remove online images and videos of child sexual abuse.
Together, we are working on a new project aimed at increasing internet safety and security. Our companies will be collaborating to develop solutions which will assist in the detection, disruption, and removal of child sexual abuse material online.
As leaders in online safety and security, our collective goal, overseen by an advisory board of experts, is to create a standard blueprint of best practice guidelines that other adult and user-generated content platforms can adopt.
Back in 2022, we had the pleasure of working with the IWF and child protection charity, the Lucy Faithfull Foundation, on another important project. In the spring of last year, we volunteered to pilot a Chatbot designed to deter users from searching for underage sexual material on the UK Pornhub platform. The project is currently being independently, academically evaluated. Our hopes are that the findings can be applied more widely to improve online user experience and safety.
With the successful implementation of our age verification process for content creators, we’re proud to be leading the conversation on cyber safety and to be working with the team at IWF to make our vision come together and shape the future of online safety.
