Congratulations on becoming our newest Pornhub Brand Ambassador! What was your initial reaction when you first got the news?
When I found out Pornhub wanted me to be a brand ambassador, I was in disbelief. But then suddenly I got very excited! It’s truly not something I was expecting at all, since it’s only been a little over a year in the adult industry. It’s such an honor, and I’m very, very happy to be here!
With only one year under your belt, how did you get your start in the adult industry and grow your career so quickly?
It’s wild to me that so much has happened in just a year! I was posting nudes and bikini pics online and someone in the industry told me to contact an agency for porn, and I did! After visiting LA to film my first scene, I decided I loved it and wanted more. So, the next month I moved out to LA and started shooting a bunch. It quickly went from something I knew very little about to something I was suddenly very passionate about! I just love performing and showgirl-ing on camera. I think when you really love what you do, and you are tenacious, it shows, and the universe rewards you. It’s all incredibly surreal how quickly things have happened and I’m very excited and grateful.
What advice do you have for newcomers to the industry?
If you are a newbie wanting to get started, I would implore you to know that you have agency! You are allowed to say no to things that make you feel uncomfortable, you are allowed to take things at your own pace. People will try to assert their opinions on what you should do, how you should do it, how you should look, but at the end of the day, really listen to yourself! You are beautiful and valid and there is a slice of the pie for you. I would also highly suggest doing all the things you are passionate about. If you love writing, write, if you love cooking, cook! I think being well-balanced and giving a little time to things you care about outside of porn is so important! It will keep you sane, and make you a better performer, too, I promise!
You were named August 2023's Treat of the Month on Twistys! What was your favorite part of shooting with this iconic porn studio?
Being Twistys Treat of the Month was such a dream and so incredibly fun. The photoshoot we did for the Treat of the Month pictures was easily my favorite photos I’ve taken all year. It was creative, colorful, and expressive! I love fashion and creating iconic imagery, and I felt this fact was really seen and embraced by Twistys. We did something really cool and their creative vision really reflected my sensibilities, which is awesome!
One of our core values is Freedom of Sexual Expression; what does this mean to you?
Sex is beautiful, natural, a human need. There is no shame in wanting sex, having sex, watching sex. I think self-expression is also a human need. We should all feel free to express ourselves as unique sexual beings with desires and kinks. Free to explore and experiment! Porn has such an important role in discovery of our sexual selves, yet it is still stigmatized. The whole world needs to loosen its grasp on shame regarding all things sex and come to the collective realization that we all want it, we all need it and that is gorgeous! Porn can be the purest expression of that, and I think it’s an incredibly powerful medium.
How did your experience coming from the queer underground music nightlife help prepare for the transition to the adult industry? Is there any overlap between the two?
Having established myself as a cult figure in music and the NYC underground nightlife scene, through my band Sateen, I had already acquired specific skills that have been incredibly helpful in the career transition. Through those things I learned how to use social media to market myself and cultivate a “brand.” I was also able to cultivate myself as a performer and an artist, two things that have been indispensable to me in the adult industry. Porn is art, I’m an artist, the job is performing, and I’m a performer, so I see a lot of overlap!
Tell us your bucket list dream location to shoot and who would you want to collab with?
I would love to shoot a porn inside Trevi Fountain in Rome and be like Anita Ekberg in La Dolce Vita! There are so many incredible performers that I would love to collaborate with, it’s so hard to choose. But if we are talking about bucket list, my dream collaborators would be my favorite directors. It would be a dream to be in a Tinto Brass erotic film or have a role in a Pedro Almodovar or John Waters movie.
What are you most looking forward to as Pornhub’s newest Brand Ambassador?
I’m so honored to be the newest Brand Ambassador! I am very much looking forward to having this platform to express my point of view which is this: sex is beautiful and porn is art! To me, sex work is venerable! It is one of the oldest jobs in the history of humankind and sex workers deserve to be respected and highly regarded.
You have an upcoming podcast episode with Asa Akira. Can you give us a little teaser about what topics we can expect to hear about?
I had so much fun with Asa on the pod! She is so smart and funny. We touched on so many interesting things that I didn’t expect, like the ethics of plastic surgery. Mostly, I think it will be a fun way to get to know more about me if you are curious about my story!
