We are continuously working with our creator community to enhance the Pornhub experience. Through direct feedback, our team has gathered information that has been actioned into several optimizations across the site. Keep reading to discover our latest batch of updates and how they can benefit you.
Auto Translations for Video Titles
With huge advances in technology, video titles can now be automatically translated into other languages depending on the viewer’s location. Translated video titles help your content reach a global audience, meaning you can improve your visibility, rank, and engagement anywhere in the world, regardless of a viewer’s native language.
How can this benefit you? Having a wider reach helps increase your revenue potential by getting more views and raising you to a higher Tier. Attracting a wider audience from all over and not just the ones who speak your language can increase your exposure and popularity.
Note: Automated translations will only work if the original video title is in English. If you are fluent in other languages and choose to translate your own titles, your translations will override the automated ones.
Stage Names to Identify Approved Co-Performers
When a Co-Performer is approved with IDs and consent, you can now add a stage name to help identify them more easily. Previously, they were only listed under their full legal name. This makes tagging your approved Co-Performers in the video uploader much easier and it helps protect their personal information.
To edit a stage name, open your Core Settings and click the Co-Performers header. Then, click on the Edit button next to an approved Co-Performer's legal name and add their Stage Name in the pop-up window that appears.
Please note: Editable stage names only work for Co-Performers whose IDs and consent have been approved.
Tiers Video Length for Monetization
As a direct result of creator feedback, we have reduced the video length requirement to keep your account monetized. Now you only need to upload one 5+ minute video every 6 months (previously 7+ minutes).
If your Model account was demonetized for inactivity between July 1 and December 31, 2024, we remonetized any accounts that uploaded a 5+ minute video during that period.
To move up in Tiers, videos still need to be 7+ minutes. We hope it eases the requirement to stay active and monetized while still generating ad revenue.
Pending Collab Requests
Many of you asked for this feature, which was rolled out for all verified members of the Model Program. If you are not familiar with it, Collaborators is our tagging feature which helps to streamline verification for all performers, making it much easier to identify additional performers.
So, what’s the update? The window to manually accept a collaboration request has been extended from 14 days to 30 days. This longer expiration period is perfect for those who typically log into their Pornhub accounts every few weeks.
To see your pending collab requests, open the Collaborators tab in your Core Settings. Under the Received header, you will see a list of requests to accept. Additionally, in the coming weeks, you will be able to use Collaborators to tag verified Models in previously uploaded videos. This will help ensure your videos meet our current verification requirements.
Friends to Subscribers
In the coming weeks, we will be removing the ability to send and receive friend requests. The people you were previously friends with will become subscribers.
Rest assured, the private video links you sent to friends in the past will still be available in your Video Manager. To access them, you can use the Private Videos filter. Moving forward, when you upload a new video, you will no longer be able to set the visibility to “Private.”
Additionally, any account preferences previously set to “Friends” will be set to “Only me” by default. However, your chats with friends will still be available, and any new chats will be made available under chat “requests,” similar to how social media chats work.
Video Uploader
We have two updates to help streamline the video uploading process.
First, when you want to see the upload details of a video, you will now be able to click the “+” icon in the right corner of your Uploads Queue. A dropdown will appear that will include all your video details such as title, video type, publish date, and more.
Second, our video scheduler just got a lot easier to use! Now, when you schedule videos to be published later, you will see a little calendar icon on the right side of the Schedule Date bar. Click on the icon and a pop-up window will appear where you can see the days of the month more clearly. Once you have chosen a date, you can choose the time you want to publish the video and click schedule.
Reaction Content
In the business of making reaction or tribute content? Want to give credit to the original uploader you were inspired by? We have a new update for you! If your reaction or tribute video features content uploaded on Pornhub by a verified Model or Channel, you can now add the link (Pornhub URLs only) to the original content. You will be able to find this in your Core Settings under Video Uploader.
By giving more visibility and credit to the original uploader with a display of the full link on your video, viewers can check out the original video and help increase their views as well, further creating a supportive ecosystem. To see the original video, look for the “Watch Original Video” header below the video player.
Shorties Video Carousel
Shorties is a scroll-based experience on Pornhub that is currently in BETA. It promotes vertically filmed videos and gives viewers a modern way to engage with your content. We recently added a Shorties video carousel on Model profiles when viewed from a mobile device/smart phone. With this update, viewers can find your most recent Shorties videos. If they want to see more, they can click “Discover the new Shorties experience” thumbnail at the end of the carousel and be directed to your full list of vertical videos.
This new design feature intends to modernize your profile page and help promote more of your content in one place. In the coming weeks, Channels will also have the Shorties carousel added!
“More of Me” Button on Shorties
When you are scrolling on Shorties, you might have noticed some Models have a "More of Me" button next to their name and some don't. That's because some Models haven’t added an "Official Website URL" yet to their Model profile, which triggers the button to appear. If that’s you, go here now to add it. Did you know there is no video length requirement for videos to surface on Shorties? We recommend however that videos are somewhere between 30 seconds and 5 minutes.
